This is a pictorial guide to the SSBN and SSGN of the Ohio class, which includes previously unpublished interior photos taken by the author, who was provided rare access to several operational SSBN.

Collectively, the US Navy's Ohio-class submarines carry about half of America's strategic nuclear warheads. The 18 ships of the Ohio class are split between two variants; There are 14 nuclear-warhead-carrying fleet ballistic missile submarines (SSBN) and 4 guided missile submarines (SSGN), the latter having been converted from SSBN to carry Tomahawk missiles and special operators into action.
